Erasmus+ Funding

Study, develop games, and gain industry experience at Spelkollektivet through Erasmus+

Students from many European universities can use the Erasmus+ program to fund a stay at Spelkollektivet.

If you are studying game development, you may be able to receive Erasmus+ funding while staying and working with us.

Spelkollektivet regularly hosts Erasmus+ students who want to gain experience in game development in an international community.

Am I eligible for Erasmus+ at Spelkollektivet?

You may be eligible if:

  • You are enrolled in a European university or education program
  • Your school participates in the Erasmus+ program
  • Your program allows internships or study exchanges
  • Your university approves Spelkollektivet as a host organisation

If you are unsure, the best first step is to contact the international office or designated Erasmus+ coordinator at your university.

Depending on your background and study program, internships may include:

Work on Commercial Game Projects

Interns at Spelkollektivet are integrated into commercial game development projects.

You will collaborate with an international community of 60+ developers, gaining hands-on experience and learning how indie game teams actually work.

This often includes:

  • Daily collaboration with other developers
  • Participating in playtests and feedback sessions
  • Learning production pipelines used in indie studios
  • Building real portfolio work

Work on Your Own Game

Some Erasmus+ students come to develop their own game projects rather than join an existing team.

In this case we can support you with:

  • Mentorship from experienced developers
  • Feedback sessions and playtesting
  • Introductions to collaborators
  • Guidance on starting an indie studio
